Seamless Black Label returns with an EP of three solid house tracks from rising Dutch star Phonic Funk. Plying his trade around Amsterdam and The Netherlands, Phonic Funk has been creating a name for himself since winning ‘Vinylized’, the largest producer contest in the Netherlands. He has had releases and remixes on quality house music labels that include Soulfuric, Hardsoul Recordings, Mn2S and Hermosa Recordings, working with well known atists Ron Carroll and the Bongoloverz. His tracks are regularly found in the charts of DJs including Claude Monnet, Hardsoul and Brian Tappert amongst others. For his first release on Seamless Black Label he has created a fantastic 3 track EP of pure house music pleasure which is guaranteed to get the dance floor moving and going nuts.
“Hypnosis” The title track from the EP is a pure house music gem. With a chugging beat and synth stabs flowing through it, this is a main room track which keeps the groove building to the break, where all hands will be in the air when it drops back in again. This shit is slammin’…………
“A Feeling” This is a dance floor bomb, perfect for peak time demolition. It has a slightly techy feel to it without going tech house. It has driving beats and bass that create a running groove and then as it progresses to a break with the vocal comes in joined with a synth rather like that out of the massive club smash Azzido Da Bass – Dooms Night. This tracks works fantastically on the dance floor and will be smashing floors all summer for sure.
“Remember When ft Tieka” Starting off with tribal house beats gets you into a groove right from the start. With synth stabs pushing the track along, ‘Remember When’ keeps a deep house groove and added with a cool poetic spoken word vocal from Tieka. This is a deep house track, oozing sophistication ideal for that cooler crowd – this is one for those legendary Ibicencan Villa Parties....it’s all about the groove with this track.
