Matt Thibideau recorded these 4 warm, dark and sultry tech house gems as Altitude back in the late 1990s and gathered them into an EP for Woodwork Recordings. The 12' vinyl was originally intended for release in late 2000...right as the label went on hiatus, perhaps indefinitely. To mark the re-launch and inevitable continuation of Woodwork, these tracks are finally released retroactively, and they are no less gorgeous today than they were at the time they were produced.
All four tracks reveal a distinct piece of Matt's development toward his refined production style that now graces many highly respected labels all around the globe. These pieces are some of his earliest solo recordings as a techno artist, and yet their classic sound and atmosphere present a view of something grand and ideal, seen from great heights.
