The original version of 'The Soul of a Woman' generated a lot of love this past summer. Gretchen, previously known via her work with Marva Hicks, Michael Watford and Bobby D'Ambrosio, finally stepped into the limelight with this hypnotic and enchanting anthem. It was so well received that we’ve decided to commission this collection of remixes that cross multiple boundaries from Soulful House right through to the Jazzier end of the spectrum.

Louis Benedetti’s remix is a beautifully produced ode to Gretchen’s vocals. It bumps and grinds effortlessly with the sound that he is known for throughout the dance music scene. Paris Cesvette & Luis LooweeR Rivera provide an energetic, London styled vibe to this project. It’s gritty, grimy, and sweet at the same time. Lastly, DJ Oji gives up that Baltimorean afro vibe that he pioneered. His version is rhythmically innovative and meant to make dance floors move!

This recording is nothing short of spectacular and will go down in history as one of this year’s most memorable tunes.
