Ready for the goodness? Here comes a new comp that will help keep the mind, body & floor moving for hours on end. Continuing his musical legacy, Kenny Dope has teamed up with some of the greatest dance producers, signed a number of choice tracks from talented up and comers, & even threw in some original productions to assemble a whopping 25-track comp dropping on his own Dopewax imprint. It contains an assortment of House music sub-styles, that all have one other thing in common; Quality. Kenny carefully cherry-picked these tunes from a mountain of upcoming releases and meticulously programmed a journey full of hard driving peaks, sexy midtempo valleys and more wicked beats in between; just as one would hear on his sets over the airwaves or boomin' out the stacks at a sizeable venue.

On this very first Dopewax Approved: Kenny Dope & Friends comp, you get a taste of some selective dance diversity, from the deep and cinematic snappy soundscapes of some of the hottest artists coming out of South Africa like, Collen Cohen's "Yog Sothot," Karyendasoul's "Ordinary Gatherings," and the original mix of Samurai Yasusa's "Absolute," to the lovely Soulful house stylings of Albert Menendez's Sterling Ensemble & Sara Devine's truly beautiful "Angel," as well as Kenny's collab with reigning king of R&B-House crossover, Raheem DeVaughn, and their latest single, "Queen." Then there's the funkier "'Cause You Love Me" by one of France's premier funk house-masters, Madji'k featuring the super-soul vox of Léon (Malélé), and some of the best new talent to come out of New England, namely Ant LaRock, whose stunning mix of his single "Sanctuary" featuring Agency, is sure to get some serious play.

If you're looking for more Jazz-infused House, there's a special duo project, "Muggin'" with its slick looped up, jived-up, warped up synth by Kenny Dope & respected German producer, Oliver Dollar. You'll hear even more intense ivories on "Piano Groove" by NYC/Japanese producer DJ Gomi feat. Antonio Hart, whose song boasts hands in the air inspirational chords and jazzy sax woven in, while "Industry," a new track by cross continental collab between JedX and Sean Sines, sways more to a smooth sax and features an effective spoken clip by one of House Music's great pioneers, Derrick Carter.

Feeling more of a Tech House vibe? The Junior Sanchez Remix of Kenny Dope & Josh Milan's Billboard Top 10 Club smash "Be Your Freak" will hit you right in the ball-gag. Kenny's original "Wakki" and "Jack," his collab with Triple Threat, whips up a sweet frenzy on the dance floor. EU-based producer Jhothi and his tech track "Vishnu," is laced with a strident middle-eastern vocal clip that zaps some "zenergy" back to into your life.

On the straight up groovy house tip we have "Uncontrollable," by Andy Lakey, John Steel, and Ian Campbell, a group of truly talented chaps from whom you'll be hearing a lot more in the coming months. Speaking of, if you've been following skilled Dutch producer Man Without A Clue, his recent highly acclaimed "Bust A Move" was the first of many collabs with Kenny to be released in the near future, and you'll find the vibey "New York Flow" right here.

Wanna go a bit harder? Try "Penny Wise" by gifted German producer Chris Count, "Gorilla Warfare" by Kenny Dope and his joint effort with House Syndicate's "Turn Off The Lights." Then there are tracks somewhere in between like "The Party Don't Stop" by returning NYC producer Dj Rooster, who offers an amazing dark 90's warped speed garage groover throwback, Nihil Young & Damarii (Saunderson)'s "Secrets" whose proper vibe can fit into pretty much any House set, and "Play With My Bassline" by longtime House producer out of Chicago, Paul Johnson, whose single is injected with just enough Acid. #noprilosecneeded. Lastly, if you're looking for some no-holes-barred f$%king spot on percussion, check out "Braveheart" by DJ Gomi and "Distance" (Arrange Mix) by Kenny Dope & renowned House DJ/producer Todd Terry.

Moments on this comp should at least raise a couple of eyebrows, or nod a few heads. If it doesn't, then it's sure to make you grimace like you're tasting some evil bass or smellin' the baddest beats around. Com'on now, you know the face. So many descriptions, so many definitions, but if one must absolutely satisfy the need to define, then File under: House. Funky. Tech. Soulful. Deep. Bangin. All Dope.
