DJ Gomi is an internationally acclaimed producer, songwriter, and disc jockey from Japan who has charted on Billboard more than once through his collaborations with a plethora of recording artists. His start in his dad's musical instrument shop to landing a job with Haruomi Hosono (Yellow Magic Orchestra) who mentored Gomi, which lead to a Uchida Scholarship for Berklee College of Music where he studied Music Synthesis, would eventually lead him to close-by New York City which was home to an impressive nightlife scene. He'd go down to experience the scene and hear what new music was being played. Upon graduation, he moved to New York and his path in the music industry took off.

DJ Gomi's first job in New York was at the renowned D & D Studio working with the artists recording there with the mix downs, programming, and arrangements. His break came was when he landed the position of main programmer for the legendary house-music producer and DJ, Junior Vasquez whose weekly residency at the Sound Factory. It was there, Gomi's work got international exposure without needing to leave New York, as other artist in industry from around the world came to hear the music at the Factory. He collaborated with Junior in remixes and original works. From that point forward, his talent in production and composition made people in the industry take notice. Soon offers came in from other industry greats who needed an engineer, including George Morel , François Kevorkian, and Grammy-award winner, Hex Hector.

Much of his large discography has been broadcast on major media outlets and performed in major venues by other DJ's til this day. An impressive list of musical artists throughout the world continue to invite him to either produce their music or provide them dance remixes - these include Beyonce, Janet Jackson, Madonna, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, and Rupaul. His crowning achievement was producing and remixing Seasons of Love (from the musical, Rent) which became an instant dance-floor classic. Even today, he has a full schedule of work from people who need his services and still finding time to collaborate with other to produce original work.
