Torque¿s 8th release features a dose of raw acid techno from emerging U.S. artist Maria Goetz, plus remixes by Krenzlin (Tresor - Berlin) and Virulent (Dystopian Rhythm - USA).

Maria Goetz is a newcomer from the Midwestern United States. Influenced by dark, funky and obscure techno, Maria's music is not afraid to get weird. She has been featured on labels like Nigel Richards¿ 611 Records, Klientele, Knightriders and Chicago Jaxxx.

On ¿Xactic,¿ Maria delivers a dark, mechanical vibe with plenty of ACID. Sinister sensibilities and a no compromise techno aesthetic emerge as Maria carves out some seriously heavy rhythms. The release includes the original "on acid mix" and a dub mix, plus another original, ¿Ignominy,¿ which shows the artist¿s funkier side.

On the remixes, Tresor resident and veteran producer Krenzlin provides his rendition of Xactic with a big, mechanical techno sound. Krenzlin¿s mix is spacious, driving and raw - just how we like it! Rounding out the EP is a jackin¿ remix by Virulent. The Chicago native adds his signature tough groove while maintaining the acidic tendencies of the original.
