Torque is back with another package of quality techno music from around the globe. Torque 006 features 'Babylon' by Australian artist Vaein, with remixes by Black Asteroid, Shin Nishimura, LilRoj and Shine.
Vaein has been making noise, producing and djing out of Sydney for over a decade. His track ¿Babylon¿ represents his signature sounds: deep, spacious and heavy. Babylon balances elements of light and darkness with a minimal aesthetic that's both modern and refined. Next is a remix by CLR artist Black Asteroid, who gives us an absolutely massive piece of forward moving mechanical techno with strong industrial vibe. Remix number two comes from Shin Nishimura of Plus Records Tokyo. Nishimura provides a superb rendition with chunky 909 drums, acidic loops and plenty of drive. Next we have a mix by U.S. artist LilRoj, who gives us a taste of his distinct rolling basslines and funky rhythms. Last up is Torque resident Shine¿s remix and it¿s nothing short of relentless. Huge beats, cut up samples and tribal overtones give the track an unstoppable stadium techno appeal.
