Torque proudly presents Voltima, the debut eight track LP by Japanese techno artist Shine.

Shine is an Osaka-based dj, producer, label boss and event organizer. A veteran of the Osaka scene since 1999, in recent years Shine has worked tirelessly to reactivate the Japanese techno scene through the formation of the Torque label and associated events.

As a dj, he's performed in London, Moscow, Mongolia, Slovakia, Amsterdam, Spain, the U.S, and Japan. As a producer, he's released originals and remixes on Techno Therapy (UK), Neptuun City (NY) and, of course, Torque. In addition to being co-founder of Torque, he's also behind the highly lauded Torque label nights, which have featured world-class talent such as Ben Sims, Truncate, Ben Klock and others at events throughout Asia and in Amsterdam, the U.S. and more.

With the Voltima LP, Shine shows his penchant for driving machine funk with eight powerful techno tracks. His minimalistic approach, inspired by modern techno as well as the classics, makes for powerful club music. Shine's mechanized grooves are loaded with moments of intensity, broken rhythms and dark textures. Don't miss it!
