The last release of the year, "Nice & Easy", is from New Orleans' own, Quickweave. The release includes two deep originals, "Nice & Easy" and "Line 46", and one deeper remix from West Coast king, David Harness.
With an early introduction to Gospel, New Orleans Jazz, and eventually House, Quickweave has been honing a unique House sound which centers around feminine energy and vocals backed by tough, swing drums. After his debut split EP, Burning Heat, with Redance, he has released a healthy list of solo works including tracks on Nervous Records, Chicago Vinyl Records, Real Feel Records and Chinotto Records. With the "Nice & Easy" EP he continues to explore the deep side of House and the title track reflects that. Driving kick, full bass and keys on reverb create a lush soundscape.
"Line 46" continues the deep journey with male vocal samples complimenting the melodic sax riff.
David Harness hailing from the west coast has toured all over the world, from Coachella to Croatia, from Outside Lands to Glastonbury. David has lent his producer skills to Grammy-winning artists like Mary J. Blige, Luther Vandross, Aretha Franklin, Alicia Keys, and Yoko Ono. David is a musical storyteller and a master of his craft and his remix of "Nice & Easy" is a prime example of this. He takes the track, strips it down a bit and adds a thumping bass to level up the excitement.
