Get Up Recordings is back with its first release in 2022 from artist, Don Esquivel.

Don Esquivel, whose real name is Carlos Esquivel, is a dj/producer who hails from Michoacán, México and now resides in México City. He is a part of the Boca Boca Collective and has been djing for some time in the Queer music scene of Mexico City. He has been making music for labels like Amplio Espectro, Muy Muy Records and Discos Sentimiento.

The 4 Track EP release titled, “For the Memories”, is kicked off with home grown lo-fi beats, a riding baseline, mixed with a touch of acid on “I Think of You”. “She” has a driving beat and bassline that sets the mood for the track. “U Got It” is a lo-fi jam defined by a contemplative lead and chord structure. Last up is, “Valado” with its Detroit chords and its hypnotic lead.
