German producer Erik Ellmann makes a strong debut on Esquimau with a refined and radiant entry into the label's catalog-a soulful three-track EP that effortlessly blends deep house sophistication with jazz-infused warmth. 'Suburbs' marks the seventh release on Esquimau, adding another gem to the imprint's growing discography of jazzy, deep, and timeless old-school-inspired sounds. The title track 'Morning Blues' sets the tone with mellow piano progressions layered over a solid drum groove and a subtle walking bassline, firmly rooted in the essence of contemporary deep house. Spacious yet intimate, it's a track made for late-night living rooms or early morning sessions. The second original cut builds on a percussive beat, adding more drive with looping piano motifs and touches of saxophone.
