Next up on MoreHouse is a gorgeous & timely reinterpretation of the 1978 Teddy Pendergrass song 'Cold, Cold World.' Written by the genius songwriting / production team of Gene McFadden, John Whitehead and Victor Carstarphen (of 'Wake Up Everybody' fame) - 'Cold, Cold World' is still as relevant today in 2024 as it was 46 years ago. Groove Junkies and Reelsoul (Groove N' Soul) have kept the ol' school essence of the Philly classic intact, but added some muscle to the groove to accommodate today's dance floors. And vocalist Tertulien Thomas proves yet again that he is a force to be reckoned with! He delivers another heartfelt vocal, effortlessly weaving in and out of his natural & distinct falsetto voice while beautifully capturing the emotion of the song. Additional lyrics written by GJs Evan Landes and Thomas pay homage to the original and serve to extend the vamp & elevate the senses. Housing up a down-tempo Teddy Pendergrass tune is no easy task, but the dynamic trio have done so with love & respect and with expressed intent of uplifting the masses during these trying times.
