Our first release of 2025 pairs Groove Junkies with B. Valentine on the soul lifting 'New Day' - a lil' something for all the under-appreciated dreamers out there! At a time when lack of inclusion, uncertainty and self doubt have permeated our consciousness, 'New Day' delivers a much needed message of hope! The music and the song's positivity promises to move the listener on many levels. The project also reunites Groove Junkies & Reelsoul (Groove N' Soul) who deliver a stunning musical backdrop for B.'s heartfelt vocals. The 3 are at the top of their game and if that wasn't enough, Grammy nominated keyboardist Shawn Hibler lends his talent to the cause as well. The package is loaded and includes a tight Vocal mix, killer Dub, tasty Reprise, and Instrumental & Beats Mix to get creative with.
GJs and B. Valentine had previously teamed on their 2012 MoreHouse dance hit 'Born To Flow' (approaching 2 million streams to date on Spotify), where she performed under her previous stage name Baskerville Jones. They joined forces again in 2023 with a reimagined version of the Minnie Ripperton classic 'Lovin' You' which went on to be one of Traxsource's Top 100 Soulful House tunes for 2023.
While 'Lovin' You' was B. Valentine's first release under her current stage name, she's no stranger to the music scene. Fans may recognize her as the frontwoman of the soul, jazz, and funk fusion band The Rebirth. Her group and solo performances at venues/events have included: Southport Weekender (UK), Dave Koz Cruises, Capital Jazz Festival (Maryland), Microsoft Theater (LA), Ford Theater (Hollywood), Winter Music Conference (Miami), and Hippodrome Casino (London) to name a few.
During her 20 year career she has performed or recorded with a host of national and international artists including Dave Koz, Kenny Lattimore, BeBe Winans, Deniece Williams, Valerie Simpson, Heather Headley and many others. Once again we are honored to welcome back B. Valentine to the MoreHouse family!
