Bristol quartet Circle of Funk continue to innovate on the UK dance scene, creating in many genres, and never afraid to mix things up to produce a unique palette of sounds. Heavily influenced by Hip Hop, Jazz Funk and Soul, you can feel the funk in every production, their Deep House vibes often showcasing the best among many quality releases. Circle of Funk have collaborated with quality vocalists in the past including Lifford Shillingford, Natasha Watts, Mr V, Dawn Tallman and Charlene Samms, and this release is the second collaboration to feature Chicago House legend Robert Owens.

Inside follows on from the 2013 success of Invisible - the release which put the Circle of Funk and Robert Owens partnership firmly on the musical map. It reached the Traxsource Top Ten and was supported by the likes of DJ Spinna, Danny Krivit and Mr V as well as being featured on a Fabric mix compiled by Spinna.

Robert Owens is a mainstay of the original Chicago House scene. He is a talented producer, DJ, songwriter and vocalist and has more than twenty years of experience entertaining audiences far and wide with his art. He is the voice of the classic House track Tears (where the Godfather of House - Frankie Knuckles introduced Satoshi Tomiie), and Robert has also featured on many other prime dance tunes including I'll Be Your Friend and Bring down the walls. He created the seminal tracks Can You Feel It and Mysteries of Love as Fingers Inc with Larry Heard and Ron Wilson, and to this day he continues to thrill audiences worldwide with his unique vocals and Djing skills.

This track is being released on the respected Slapped Up Soul label which supports new and established soulful acts both in the UK and worldwide.

Inside is a captivating track about somebody who becomes one with the music and gets transported to a zone of wonderment, dreams and possibilities - a sensation that will resonate with everybody who understands the spiritual and therapeutic qualities of music and dancing.

Robert's signature mesmerising vocals accompany the bounce of Circle of Funk's rhythmic Deep House beat, which is laced with delicate percussion touches and subtle keys. He delivers the lyrics with the enchanting emotion that they convey, and this, coupled with the polished production and deep escapist vibe of the track makes for a truly wonderful composition that will delight every soul on the dance floor who understands the magical and spiritual qualities of House music. A sure fire future classic has been made here.
