Souvenir Music is closing in at nearly 100 releases with “Into The Groove,” an essential EP dreamed up by Tevo Howard (as Tevo Howard’s Black Electro Orchestra), a torchbearer of Chicago’s current House music movement. The prolific producer has been steadily releasing fantastic tunes on a diverse range of top labels worldwide, and it was only fitting for the Tiefschwarz boys to snatch up this stellar 3-tracker of electronic infused retro-futuristic House music brilliance. You can dance…for inspiration.

Clearly inspired by one of the biggest tunes by the Queen Of Pop (try and guess who we’re talking about), the House Mix of ‘Into The Groove’ starts out with zero hesitation. Huge catchy synth melodies and a sharp, shuffling rhythm structure devised by the use of vintage gear and effects capture a clever snapshot of the glory days of warehouse dancing (with a fresh twist).

Alinka, an adopted Chicagoan (and now Berlin resident), provides an outstanding remix of ‘Into The Groove’ designed as a big and bold house stomper. Drawing the listener attention towards well-placed samples and perfectly arranged loopy percussion, the track is focused 100% on a relentless groove, only stopping occasionally for ravers to catch their breath.

Slowing the tempo down to a hedonistic acid-drenched crawl is the Chicago Electro House Mix of ‘Can You Feel It,’ an incredibly mind altering 303 driven groove which demonstrates Tevo Howard’s natural ability to capture a hypnotizing aura with the use of analog wizardry. An absolute secret weapon for anyone who’s in love with loopy, druggy electronic goodness.
