"Well Cut Records" is the label founded by Manchester based jazz musician, crate digger and DJ known for his productions as 'Dubble D', 'Moodymanc' and more. The label serves as a vehicle for his own projects and collaborations which span the various shades and colours of House music under the motto of "passion over fashion".

"Battle Cries" is the third 'Balaphonic' release on Well Cut Records and is a percussion heavy afro-beat/mid tempo house workout which features an improvisational battle between a horn section of alto, tenor and baritone saxophones which is lead by jazz virtuoso Kyran Matthews.

The 'Battle of the Saxes mix' is the extended workout, there is an 'edit' mix which is a little more theme focused and lastly a 'horn free dub' for those who might prefer things stripped back to just the beats!

Past Balaphonic releases have drawn support from Jimpster, Osunlade, Detroit Swindle, Moxie, Che, Doc Martin, Charles Webster and many more and have topped the Afro charts on Traxsource.
