Loco 88 (Christian Malloni Remix) (7:06)
Moody, deep tech tracks! With A Christian Malloni Remix

Onethirty Recordings breaks from a recent string of straight-ahead house releases with a set of moody, deep techno tracks via Montreal, Canada-based producer Fabien Kamb. Kamb is a relative newcomer with just a couple prior releases, but these efforts, including a heavily supported debut on Ross Couch's Body Rhythm label have him on a roll. On this EP, Loco 88 is a scintillating winner balanced between techno and house with peaking moments sure to get the dancefloor throbbing. Fabien's own Vintage Dub of the cut adds a bit of lushness and echo to the track for a more submersive but still energetic effect. Kamb closes out the EP with a second original, Plastique, layering evocatively melodic synth parts over a deep, funky rhythm.

Acclaimed Argentinean producer Christian Malloni's previous appearance on Onethirty was the hugely successful remix of Ross Couch's Rising Up. Confirming his reputation for superb dancefloor weapons Malloni adds his signature tight and tough low end to Loco 88. The version is bouncier and touched by glistening keys making for a driving but lovely tech-house stomper.

Onethirty might be one of the best stateside
labels

The original Loco 88 and Plastique are
good .. Will fit them early on in my sets, but
the standout for me is the Malloni remix.

Peter Christianson - (LCG)
Fabien kills it again !

Jay West-
I'm loving Plastique, but Christian's remix
steals the show here. I'm getting tired of
saying it, but all Christian touches is gold!

Dub for me

Charles Spencer -
This is a cut above - I like the original and
the Vintage Dub.
