WRLB061 | 2026-01-29
Prepare for an immersive sonic experience as Wirelab Records unveils its latest various artists compilation, WRLB061, landing on 29th January. This five-track release isn't just a collection of tunes; it's a curated journey through the deeper corners of tech house, minimal and atmospheric techno, showcasing the label's expanding family of artists and its evolving sonic identity.

Opening the release, Charlotte Ringwood – "Embrace Right Now" sets the tone with warm, enveloping pads, subtle vocal inflections and a rolling low-end groove. The track balances introspection and dancefloor energy, drawing listeners into an emotive headspace while maintaining a tight, hypnotic pulse.

Hermetik – "YM" follows with a more propulsive, late-night aesthetic. Driven by crisp percussion, evolving synth lines and a simmering bassline, "YM" locks into a refined, club-focused momentum while retaining Wirelab's signature deep, atmospheric edge.

On dL – "Freedom Dub", the compilation dives into dubbier territory. Spacious delays, echoing stabs and a subby, rubbery groove intersect to create a meditative yet driving piece. It's a track built for heads-down moments on the dancefloor, where subtle details and textural shifts reveal themselves with every listen.

Label co-owner Dark Kandy – "Kick Boxer" raises the intensity with a stripped, punchy workout. Tough drums, percussive accents and an insistent bassline combine to form a relentless groove, while carefully crafted FX and synth hits inject tension and release. "Kick Boxer" is engineered for peak-time impact without sacrificing the label's deep, refined ethos.

Rounding off the release, CJW – "Galaxy Force" pushes into more cinematic, cosmic territory. Expansive pads, interstellar melodies and a driving yet fluid rhythm section create a sense of forward motion and space. It's an evocative closer that ties together the compilation's focus on mood, depth and dancefloor functionality.

WRLB061 further cements Wirelab Records' reputation as a Glasgow-based imprint dedicated to high-quality deep tech, minimal and deep house. Curated by CJW (Colin Wright) and Dark Kandy (Barry Johnstone), the label continues to build momentum with carefully selected releases that resonate with discerning DJs and listeners alike.
