Opening cut 23rd Dub Preset sets a mesmerising tone with a deep, resonant bassline, tape-echo textures, and finely sculpted chord stabs drifting through the stereo field. The groove is understated yet relentless, its swing and percussive detail revealing CJW's evolved production prowess and ear for negative space. On the flip, Dub A Rub turns the screws with a more driving and tactile low end, layering saturated chords, rolling hats, and atmospheric swells that bloom and recede like smoke in a late-night room. The result is a focused, immersive trip designed for heads-down floors and long-form sets.
