Scottish producer Elysian Underground returns to Wirelab Records with Astral Projection (WRLB058), a two-track EP that draws deep inspiration from the timeless spirit of Detroit techno while pushing forward with his own immersive, atmospheric style.

The title track Astral Projection unfolds with hypnotic momentum, driven by pulsating percussion and resonant synth stabs that echo the raw futurism of Detroit's pioneering sound. It's a journey through layers of evolving textures, perfectly balancing precision and emotional depth. On the flip, Underworld delves into darker territory, where deep basslines, shimmering chords and stripped-back machine funk conjure the shadows of late-night dancefloors, channeling the energy of the Motor City while retaining Elysian Underground's distinctly modern touch.

With Astral Projection, Wirelab Records marks its 58th release, carrying forward a legacy of underground electronic music guided by label heads CJW (Colin Wright) and Barry Johnstone (aka Dark Kandy).
