Originally featured on Mark de Clive-Lowe's groundbreaking debut album Six Degrees, "Day by Day" marked an early benchmark in the fusion of jazz, soul, and broken beat that would go on to define his pioneering sound. Featuring the unmistakable voice of Cherie Mathieson and hypnotic flute textures, the track gets a fresh reimagining from Australian production duo Close Counters - long-time fans and kindred spirits in groove.

"For this one we chose to ramp it up to house tempo whilst keeping the samba feel, treating Cherie's vocal and the hypnotic flute loop with a dubbed out approach," they explain. "We've been inspired by Mark's work and many projects for a long time so it was a huge honour to get on remix duties for Day by Day ahead of the 25th anniversary of the album Six Degrees.
