Belcampo returns with Pastiches & Mélanges, his second ever release since his 2021’s debut Your Kissing on Freerange Records. It’s a love letter to all things mid-90s house, especially what was happening in Paris at the time with the French Touch. The title itself, inspired by Marcel Proust, is a bit of a mise en abyme making us question : is pastiche the sincerest form of flattery?

Cristoville opens up the EP with an ode to a label ran at the time by a famous french duo. This is pure peak time unapologetic fun. Love & Affection continues the tradition in a deeper but still loopy territory. Esqalate Inc. turns to the a certain legendary US producer for inspiration. Basic house at its best. Aguaceiro closes the EP with a Brazilian influenced house track.
