Jake Childs feat Laura Frey - Idol (Original)
'Idol' is the ingeniouscreation of Austin, Texas producer/DJ Jake Childs, now residing in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, who has paired up this time around with Canadian female singer Laura Frey to render for us a magnificent collaboration and labor of love!
This track is full of mystery. The musical and lyrical content transport the dancers to a point in time unknown, but with definite hints of a classical French cinematic era somewhere in the mid 1960s reminiscentof such classic films as Fantomas, The Seven Golden men, and Man From Rio! The screenplay, a melancholy story of a love gone wrong and a Matahari doubleagent who cannot escape the memory of the hero that perhaps wrong her irreversibly. What a movie, and what a journey!!
That is exactly what 'Idol' will easily accomplish, a cinemascopic journey through sound and time that fora few moments will transport the audience on the dance floor to another place and time, perhaps Paris, perhaps Moscow, but definitelynot where they are.
Enjoy the driving beat, and dangerous bassline, the melancholy vocal rendition, and the mysterious male vocal narrative! All in all a definite 10 and a necessary essential for the DJ crate.
Jake Childs feat Laura Frey - Idol Chuck Daniels remix
Get ready cause here comes the chase scene in the cinematic marvel! Chuck Daniels dishes out a dubby suspenseful and climatic
repetitive dubbed out female vocals version, backed by a mysterious strings melody line, sporadic energy infusing snare rolls, and a Yello Oh Yeah staccatobass hit to add more suspense! This remix stays focussed on the theme, but provides the perfect tool to elongatethe journey for a few moments more. We can actually picture in our minds our Matahari doubleagent and the heroic protagonist as they get away from the evil doers! Banger all the way!
Jake Childs feat Laura Frey - Idol Demarkus Lewis remix
Demarkus Lewis begins this dance floor saga with amazing and dramatic energy. The beat is slightly faster, the high hats infuse more energy, and the upfront vocals demand full sensoriality and focus. The story unravels and the storyteller clearly narrates the plot, however, every dancer will conclude on a different perspective, and a different conclusion. The kind of song everyone will dance to, but will exit the dance floor initiating a conversation, not really understanding the full story... maybe they will have to dance to it several more times in order to grasp the meaning of it all! This mix is a clear introduction to the trilogy!
