Hot new release from Paris’ Olivier Andrade, known simply as Andrade. Perfectly fitting into the Dessous vibe, the Frenchman has conjured up a tightly wound, inventive and infectiously funky 4 tracker.
Lead track ‘Hype No Tool’ perhaps refers to his productions - these are no functional DJ tools, but house music made with passion and love for the art form. The title track is woven around a Pepe Bradock-style piano sample and raw, drums that instantly create a mood - perfect for the club and the headphones.
The ‘Hype No Tool (Kiki Remix)’ sees BPitch stalwart Kiki taking things a notch deeper, teasing the sample out before developing into a tweaked out house bomb.
‘Love’ shares that same recognizable aesthetic – off kilter synths and disorientating cut up samples give off an unmistakable Motor City vibe.
‘Magic Keys’, the fourth track on this release is another tightly constructed rough diamond – enough grit and funk to move any crowd.
