Good things come to those who wait. Pitto’s deep house smash ‘Richklap’ has been on the shelves for about 4 years since we first heard this little gem. Just like with good wine, some tracks need time to grow and develop before they reach their peak. Richklap is now fully developed and best enjoyed in 2012 and beyond. The track showcases Pitto in rare form and has one of the most beautiful melodies we have ever released on the label. It sounds like a tragic love poem, wich is emphasized by the beautiful female vocals wich fade in and out of the song.

Dusty and the Viola Mix of Richklap more upbeat, jazzed up disco and house influenced track along the lines of his 2011 album ‘Objects In A Mirror Are Closer Then They Appear’. Pitto can create hooks that are instantly recognizable, more often then not with the use of classical jazz and pop instruments. In these cases a saxophone and guitar are his weapons of choice.

Pitto’s first ever release appeared on Phil E, sublabel of the world famous house and disco label Philpot from Stuttgart. He and label head Jackmate aka Soul Phiction have been good friends for many years, so it made more then sense to ask Michel to reinterpret Richklap. He made a more solid foundation for the fragile original, without losing the intensity and atmosphere.
