I first heard Miguel Migs DJ at a huge pool party at the Winter Music Conference in maybe 2000 and the New York City crew I was there with had mixed emotions about the vibe Miguel was playing; it was deep, it was Chicago, it was New York, it was Soulful, but ultimately it was the San Francisco sound we were experiencing. Much like Mark Farina, Miguel's sound was a mix of subgenres and yet uniquely his own. That's sort of how I feel about this new collaboration from Col Lawton and Glass Slipper. DO YOU incorporates elements of soulful house, that San Fran Soul if you will, but with a very Chicago / New York sexy thumpin house vibe.
