Next up for Asia Music, on our Left of Center series, is a three-track, liquid drum and bass, meeting of minds between Liquid A and Ryan Pamatmat. Tino Valentino and Olympia add their unique vocal skills within.

Liquid A, began her sonic journey back in 2005. Backed by Nomad Massive, she quickly picked up residencies in her hometown exposing her talents to some of the most sought after artists in the Philippines. Now London-based and networking new contacts, she is making the most expansive and exciting music of her career.

Manila-born, London-based Ryan started out as a young musician and soon turned towards the underground which provided huge influence in those early formative days. Now an accomplished artist in his own right, and with music signed to Plastic City, Motek Music, Audio Rehab to name a few, Ryan has been able to land regular gigs around the city and across Europe bringing his global brand, Ǝ L E M E N T S.

Filipino singer, songwriter, and producer Tino Valentino is known for his soulful vocal style working across multiple genres. Highly sought-after both locally and internationally, he has an extensive list of collaborations in all forms of broken beat genres. Equally stellar is up and coming artist Olympia, a Soul and RnB singer from the Philippines.

ASTRAL
Opening with a sparse piano and kick groove, emotive Reese bass and melancholy lyrics from Tino create a haunting atmosphere. Dubby keys reverberate in delay as Tino declares "2020 was an all-time low" who are we to argue?!. Thoughtful, emotive and highly original.

HARVEST MOON
Smokey vocals from Olympia add depth and soulfulness from the off. Spiky sweeps and organic pads provide a melodic backdrop to the sparse liquid groove. Becoming almost shoegaze midway, Olympia's vocal performance begins to hypnotize.

NEBULA
Closing out the EP pensive pads and emotive piano are soon met by a sparse Amen groove and subby bass notes. Jazzy and hypnotic, the vibe is reminiscent of early Good Looking and LTJ Bukem. Mind music of the highest calibre.

In keeping with this release series, we once again have a hand drawn piece of art from Sharla O'Hara aka OK' Hara.
