Deutsch joins the label with a solid four-track EP, ‘Been There Too'. Remix support comes from the incredible Abdel Aziz.
Israeli-born Deutsch has been an active and vibrant industry leader since 2006. His genre mashing approach sets him apart, taking in everything from progressive house via trance with the vibes and sounds of techno. His wide musical spectrum is inspired by the Israeli underground scene, moving to Berlin and around Europe later on before ending up in Manila.
Opening the EP with title track, ‘Been There Too', we are instantly swept up in a maelstrom of percussive power. Glittery melodics and spiky FX give way to a rolling low end; soon you're hypnotised by the groove and the only place for you is, The Dancefloor.
On remix duties, ‘beat making caballero' and unsung hero of the Filipino Underground scene, Abdel Aziz adds his considerable studio might, dropping the tempo to create a beguiling melodic powerhouse.
Next up, ‘Certain Extent' continues the good work with an interesting woodblock-led groove. As the bass kicks in, the track finds a new gear and powers into the stratosphere.
Finally, ‘Double Fluff' completes the EP in fine form. Tough drums and sparse percussion make way for an insistent bass and icy pads which push the track forward. Middle-Eastern chants and rolling synths top the track off for those peak-time moments lost in the rave.
