With WAVES, young Manchester-based producer HUGO releases his first full-length EP on theBasementDiscos.

WAVES consists out of three original tracks by HUGO and a remix by Frenchman LOG, who has already contributed a track to theBasement's last Various Artists EP, HORCHATA.

HUGO is a very flexible producer whose previous releases range between funky disco and breakbeat-influenced leftfield house. With WAVES, he now presents an ecstatic EP of heavy dancefloor-hitters.
The tone on the EP is set by funky electric guitars, anthemic string sections, soulful vocals and other classic sampled disco-tools. Altogether with the super groovy drums and percussion, HUGO presents an EP which combines elements of both old-school and modern dance music.
