An Egyptian producer with a stellar portfolio of tracks to his name and DJ performances across the globe, Hazem Beltagui is an artist at the top of the progressive and trance game. Under his Ampish production alter-ego, Beltagui has a found a new deeper side to his music. No less successful with his alternative persona, Ampish has found himself allied to a host of high-profile imprints and producers since a November 2016 debut for Flora7Fauna. As such, Ampish has been a regular across the likes of Cid Inc.'s Replug, Jerome Isma-Ae's Jee Productions and the Paul Thomas led FSOE UV. (under the umbrella of Aly and Fila's Future Sound of Egypt) A remix of his own "Made of Light" under the Hazem Beltagui guise plus the original track "Lethe" has thrust Ampish into the limelight, and it is an honour to welcome him to Yang.
Making his debut, the Ampish remix revels in strong beat and rapid-fire percussive groove. A rich bassline provides a solid foundation while familiar refrains from the original shimmer through the breakdown in glorious fashion. Hitting its stride again in the second half, the combination of fast-paced rhythm juxtaposed against the unhurried melodic motifs from Hot TuneiK provide the perfect combination.
