Prolific Belarusian producer, Michael A, has become a regular on Proton Music with his quartet of original EPs. The fourth of these now sees "Aura Tears" released with a pair of remixes from German and Argentinean talents.
Moritz Rausch is an artist rising to global prominence under his Rauschhaus production alter-ego. As at home behind the decks in front of global club audiences across his native Germany as he is in the studio sculpting dance floor gems, Rauschhaus is a name that carries a certain cachet. A multi-instrumentalist with mastery over the gamut of underground dance genres from deep and electro house to techno and tech house, Rauschhaus has found his music allied to a host of blue-chip imprints since an early debut for Electro Superstar in 2010. A regular on the likes of Stil Vor Talent, Parquet and Steyoyoke, November 2016's "Escape Game" for the latter showcased a musical vignette of the highest order while remixes of Solemn Eye, Soul Button and Terry Grant have been notable additions on the label. Making his Proton Music debut, the Rauschhaus remix of "Ciklus One" is a wonderfully crafted affair that builds through an elegant arpeggio sequence that ripples into life accompanied by sublime counterpoint motifs and chord progressions. Backed by a strong rhythmic framework and ticking percussive cadence, Rauschhaus makes clever use of Michael A's original components reinterpreting and reinvigorating them in a wonderful new direction.
From the foothills of the Sierras Chicas, Cordoba resident, Ezequiel Arias, has been scaling the heights of the underground dance industry with impressive regularity. A notable DJ who had toured across Europe with performances in Budapest, Ankara and Barcelona with a string of performances across his native Argentina alongside Guy Mantzur, Darin Epsilon and Robert Babicz, Arias' production carer has been no less impressive. A 2013 debut for Balkan Connection South America, run by fellow countryman Nicholas Van Orton, quickly led to a host of appearances on a stream of impressive labels that have included Replug, Plattenbank and Sudbeat Music. Indeed, the three-track "Passenger" EP for the latter saw Arias making his debut on the Hernan Cattaneo led label to considerable critical acclaim. Now debuting on Proton Music, the Ezequiel Arias remix is a delightful trip through shimmering chord progressions and intelligently worked motifs that are an intelligent and cleverly worked reimagining of Michael A's original parts. Backed a dominant kick and hypnotic, off-beat percussive groove, the Ezequiel Arias remix is a smooth and joyous affair.
