Here we are, the final stretch of 2016! For those of you with keen eye, you would have seen on our best of 2016 release we had a remix by M.P.C. featured on it, and here’s the official EP with it, in before the year is out!

Juni Staub’s EP is full of deep and dubby house cuts that just roll and chug start to finish. Skydome is more leftfield on the house spectrum, with a thick, heavy groove and a pad that creates a gentle bed that carries the melody as well.

Magenta Fields is back as well after being featured on our Summer Compilation towards the end of the season, and it still sounds fresh as ever. A bottom heavy bassline carries the track, with dubbed out perks over top to balance it out and spacey chords hovering over top to give it a sense of dread and anticipation all at once.

Domestic Beat is Juni showing his more dance floor oriented side. A solid 4/4 beat starts the track off, and it doesn’t let up until the very end. A haunting male vocal repeats over and over, drawing you in with every phrase. An off beat bass line pushes the track while vintage dub chords howl in the background.

For the remix round we have DJ Screendoor offering his services. Taking Sky Dome, he strips it down to it’s essentials and gets lost in the k-hole on this one! A throbbing bassline creates the foundation, with analog times ringing over top and a classic synth sequence creating the tension. Late night jam at it’s finest, and we couldn’t be more excited to have DJ Screendoor contribute his talents as well.

Mike Coakley is back again after a little hiatus. Bringing is unique sense of melodies and harmonies, Mike takes a shot at Magenta Fields and turns it on it’s head. Mike’s remix pulls a bit from reggae with the classic off beat note sitting on top and gluing all the parts together to create a coherent track. With soft pads sitting underneath and a rubbery melody that make it’s presence known half way through, Mike’s remix show cases exactly why we love to having him on Plus Plus any chance we can.

As we said at the top, M.P.C. contributes his remix skills on Domestic Beat. With a sense of groove and rhythm second to none, M.P.C. take Domestic Beat and creates an organic groove with a warm bassline that plays with the kick to create a thick and chuggy house tune that push the crowd with out wearing them out. It’s all about the slow burn on this one!

Kike Mayor wraps the EP with his modern take on Domestic Beat as well. Kike takes influences from the minimal family and adds a touch of warmth and funk to it. With a tight percussion groove and punchy kick, Kike’s remix is another slow burner, drawing from his New York City roots and the underground scene much like M.P.C. has. This is a remix that sucks you in and allows you to get lost in it, perfect compliment to M.P.C’s and a little snippet into the next wave of New York’s growing scene.
