Endless Time

Michael A

Juicebox Music
JBM020 | 2017-08-28
For our 20th release, we invited Belarus-based Mikhail Akulich, better known as Michael A, to make his Juicebox Music debut. Ever since his first introduction in 2012, Michael's music has been constantly evolving and appreciated with a distinct style that he's honed to the core. His music has been widely revered and supported, earning him appearances on Cid Inc's "Replug", Tone Depth's "Bad Pony", Hernan Cattaneo's "Sudbeat" as well as being an active force on his own label "Genesis". For Juicebox Music, he presents ‘Endless Time', a smoothly hypnotic yet club oriented number, driven by a solid groove, an arpeggiated melody that unfolds as it goes and spurts of little lush riff that echoes back in time.

We welcome back Greece's finest, Harris Sgourdas aka Blusoul, for his second remix on Juicebox Music after his incredible work on Diyo's ‘Underwater' and his debut single on the label with ‘Depth of Emotion'. His unique ‘spacey-yet-groovy' sound found it's way to Tash's "Movement", Sonic Union's "Lowbit" as well as Guy J's "Lost and Found" with his monumental ‘Modular Memories' in the past. With forthcoming music on Amber Long's "Modern Agenda" and Pena's "Flow Vinyl", 2017's looking to be a fantastic year ahead for the Greek artist. He kickstarts the momentum with his rendition of ‘Endless Time'. Staying true to his sound, Blusoul completely revisits all the elements, reworking the arpeggiated melody, adding extra vocal lines, his signature crisp yet roaring stab and smooth pads.

The second interpretation comes from Mauritius-based, Pranesh Bholah aka rAin, who's been a driving and steady force in the development of his country's electronic music circuit, namely progressive music. His strong creative ability as a DJ has led him to warm up for acts who've played in Mauritius like Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J, Stephan Bodzin and Patrice Baumel, amongst many others. As rAin started to take up music production, he began to inject his musical experiences and knowledge into his creations, landing him releases on Paul Hazendonk's "MNL" + "Manual Music", Madloch's "3rd Avenue" to Michael A's very own "Genesis". He makes his debut on Juicebox Music with his rendition of Micheal's "Endless Time", showing how versatile he can be, as he takes on the challenge with heavy and sharp drums, a rolling riff and his own textured melodic additions in the breakdown that sets off a big impact when everything kicks back in.
