Juicebox Music's 80th release welcomes back ALURIA to the label with a special 2-track EP, featuring "Mangos and Avocados" and "Lunchbox", alongside DNYO and Greenage remixes. Juan Correa Lopez introduced his ALURIA alias in 2016 to create boundary-less electronic music, breaking the mould of tradition and striving for exploring the different. The Merlo (Buenos Aires, Argentina) born artist, and now currently based in Brooklyn (New York, USA), made appearances on many reputable imprints from the likes of Manual Music, Stripped Recordings and One of a Kind, to name a few. ALURIA made his debut on Juicebox Music in 2023 through the first edition of our Fables compilation with his single "Precession" and now he returns with two weapons: "Mangos and Avocados", a deep and dubby yet heavy and twisted concoction and "Lunchbox", a minimal and simple yet peak and wonky banger.
We're thrilled to welcome back the São Paulo (Brazil) maestro - DNYO to the label to give ALURIA's "Mangos and Avocados" a go. As one of our core artists, Danny Oliveira made his first appearance on our imprint in 2019 with "Flare / Children", following it up with "Radiate / Closer Distance" and "Halcyon / Sensoria / Space Monk" as well as contributing to our Tales of Time compilation with "Little Samurai", DNYO is no stranger to our camp with his incredibly unique and intelligent approach to sound that's nearly impossible to imitate. He tackles "Mangos and Avocados" under his 'Cyber Dub' style, traversing into a familiar futuristic world through unconventional practices. DNYO is not for the faint hearted.
To close off the release, we welcome back one of our favourites from Goa (India) - Greenage. With three appearances on the imprint - a remix for Monojoke's "Arterials" in 2017, "Undying Devotion of Life" on our Tales of Time compilation in 2019 and a remix for EANP's "Terra" in 2020, Greenage is a firm favourite at HQ. Having planted one foot into the Progressive House world while the other foot into the Deep and Organic House world, Greenage finds no trouble expressing his vision with such a range, scoring releases on 'Hope Recordings', 'Sudbeat','Tale and Tone' and 'Where The Shadow Ends' to name a few. This time, Greenage's return to Juicebox Music sees him remixing ALURIA's "Lunchbox" into a driving prog-monster.
