The Japanese veteran, whose contributions to our imprint have spanned the 2010s, leaves an indelible mark on the listener with each new production, courtesy of a signature brand of progressive house that is both elegant and emotive. His latest, "Always," was first previewed in his own mix, on last year's "Only Silk 04" compilation. It's now available for the first time as a full, DJ-friendly single.

Shingo crafts a gorgeous, almost "primitive" atmosphere in the early going, backed by a soothing prog-deep rhythm. At the quarter turn, a full-bodied bassline cuts through the mix, and the titular "Always" vocal hook makes its first appearance. Delicate and evocative background melodies add further texture, leading into the main break, where a gorgeous new theme appears.
