Just ahead of the official release of our 31-track "Only Silk 05" compilation, long-standing AandR coordinator and "Only Silk" radio show creator Max Flyant treats us to a trifecta of standout cuts from his "Part One" continuous mix, which showcases deeper shades of house and progressive. We are delighted to reveal new music from veteran phenoms Kobana and Hexlogic, as well as label newcomer Naden, whose past progressive house and trance compositions have drawn great acclaim.

Hexlogic kicks off the release with the deliciously deep and provocative "Time Locker." The Ukrainian virtuoso has once again crafted a mesmerizing groove, which completely carries the first half of the tune, as a foreboding, late-night atmosphere and (periodic) vocal stab effect reinforce the suspenseful soundscape. In the main breakdown, an intoxicating new lead motif coquettishly enters the mix and ferries the arrangement into an especially sexy drop section.

Norwegian talent Naden, perhaps best known for a pair of contributions to Anjunabeats, is a thrilling addition to this year's compilation. His extraordinary contribution, "Waves," is one of the most upbeat, progressive-tinged, and melodic numbers on "Part One" of the compilation, hence its arrival near the very end of Max's mix. Layers -- dare we say 'waves' -- of euphoric arpeggios arrive quite early in the arrangement and provide a hallucinatory aural experience throughout the song's duration. The swirling lead synths increase with intensity in the main breakdown, offering listeners a rapturous climax.

Kobana, the Polish virtuoso, requires no introduction to veteran fans of our imprint; he has been contributing inspired deep and progressive house originals and remixes to our stable since 2010. Yet, we have not had the privilege of working with him since 2015, making "Echoes," his beautiful downtempo contribution to "Only Silk 05," all the more thrilling for us. It begins with a stirring piano theme and, soon thereafter, a broken-beat groove, the robust nature of which adds a strong "backbone" to an otherwise chilled arrangement. Additional layers of orchestration, including poignant strings, begin to crescendo, ultimately leading the arrangement to a rather innovative sequence in the breakdown, where Kobana showcases his many compositional gifts.
