For his next trick, the mysterious Persica pops up on Canadian label Mile End with a new track, Editar. As well as one original, the Do Not Sleep resident, globally acclaimed house talent, Pioneer radio host and no nonsense DJ and producer that is Darius Syrossian then steps up to remix.

Whoever Persica is, he proves he has a fine grasp of groove with ‘Editar’, a bulky, earth rattling house cut with tightly programmed and punchy drums. Up top, slinky hi hats bring some dynamism and rolling bass brings that all important bottom end. Some playful guitar twangs and fairground melodies add real colour, charm and an element of WTF and when some tribal vocals break through the whole thing really goes off, and so will any club that hears it. After another hot summer of end to end DJ gigs, Darius remains one of the underground’s most cherished talents. His basement edit of the same track subtle reworks it to be even more hefty on the bottom end.
