It's been a while since WOW!'s main man, Mar-T, has stepped up to the plate on his own label. The Amnesia Ibiza resident returns here in an emphatic way, however, as he underlines his production credentials courtesy of the Punker EP; a thoroughfare slice of captivating peak-time house music.

The title track sees the multifaceted label owner in vintage form. A lively dancefloor bomb that's garnished with a genuine Balearic tinge, the track moves at an unwavering pace thanks to its firm-as-you-like kicks and a fair dollop of percussive wares. Draped in stuffy, hazy hues, it unfurls at a majestic level that's sure to endear it to many a daring tech-house DJs in particular.

On the remix front, Mar-T welcomes Danny Serano to the fold. Serano, of course, is a man well versed in what it takes to get the dancefloor moving, with his previous work on Saved and Suara very much indicative of that fact. On his remix, he aptly demonstrates these abilities once more, as he ups the ante even further with a spine tingling interpretation of the original that very much pays homage to Mar-T's previous effort. Underground but dark, it preserves the original's punk aesthetic with some flair. An EP of undoubted quality, if you haven't already checked in with WOW!, now just might well be the right time to do so.
