Krankbrother drop the sixth release on their flourishing label of the same name, recruiting Norwegian disco legend, Prins Thomas, to sprinkle some magic over his ‘Diskomiks’ of the title track, ‘Obscure Visions’.

The brothers Clancy craft a serious dancefloor ‘moment’ with their mix of ‘Obscure Visions’, the precision beats and hard synths pack a punch whilst the reverb soaked vocals and glittering ambience truly shines though on this production.

Prins Thomas needs little introduction, but for the uninitiated, the Norwegian DJ/producer has been making sumptuous, cosmic disco grooves for well over a decade, and runs the awesome Full Pupp label, as well as being a ‘go to’ remixer for many artists such as Todd Terje, Radio Slave, Dinky, Chemical Brothers & many more. His ‘Diskomiks’ of ‘Obscure Visions’ is a suitably funky affair, taking things in a playful direction through a combination of rolling broken beats and brass keys, whilst adding a nod to Moroder with disco’d up bassline, ‘I Feel Love’ stylee.

Wrapping up the release, ‘Turn’ plunders darker and more emotive territory, coming over like a slice of classic Berlin techno, resplendent with a bubbling acid line, oceans deep pads and haunting vocals, ensuring the release closes in fine style.
