We’re delighted to welcome Serbian talent Ivan Pogrebniak back to Bonzai Progressive with his superb new release Aquila, the follow-up to his standout track Moon Magic. Though still early in his career, Ivan has already caught the attention of respected imprints including OLD SQL Recordings, Hungry Koala Records, and Future Avenue. Blending warm, atmospheric soundscapes with hypnotic, cosmic grooves, his music reveals a natural gift for storytelling and depth. With each release, Ivan continues to establish himself as one of the scene’s most exciting rising artists, and we’re proud to be part of his journey.

The title track Aquila, gets us underway, opening with a punchy kick drum layered over a cinematic, atmospheric backdrop that sets an eerie yet captivating mood. Hypnotic metallic mid-bass arpeggios weave through the mix, gradually giving way to a thick, commanding low-end bassline that anchors the groove. Gated vocal effects and crisp melodic plucks add a textured, ethereal dimension, while on the break, sweeping 303 acid lines emerge, injecting a nostalgic yet modern flair that swells with intensity before launching back into the infectious groove.

Avalanche concludes the release, introing with mesmerizing kick drums, spritely hats, and crisp rhythmic percussion, set against a backdrop of haunting atmospheric effects. An offset bassline adds warmth and depth while guiding the groove into darker, dystopian territory. Distant melodic phrases slowly fade into focus, rising through the tension and taking control at the break with an emotive, cinematic presence. As the energy builds, the main groove returns with renewed force, carrying the track into its final act.
