Rico Francis makes a welcome return to Bonzai Progressive with the stunning Pulse. The project once again showcases the combined talents of Johan Groenewegen — renowned DJ, producer and Cyber Records founder — and French producer Eric Pillet Jerusalem, also known as Ricoslide. Together, they continue to craft rich, progressive sounds that stand apart, cementing their reputation as a unique force on the label. We’re delighted to feature them again and look forward to more from this exciting duo.

Up first, we have the Melodic Mix which delivers a driving prog house journey opening with solid, chunky kick drums and a warm, rolling bassline anchoring the groove. Striking motifs cut through with clarity, while a pulsing, hypnotic synth layer weaves in to build atmosphere. Rhythmic shuffling hi-hats and crisp percussion add momentum, locking the rhythm into a steady, dance-floor-ready flow. On the break, an enchanting vocal emerges, lifting the mood and contrasts with gritty dystopian synths. The track glides forward with a smooth, melodic progression, balancing deep energy with uplifting emotion.

The Minimal Mix closes out the release, offering up a minimal interpretation built around solid, driving kick drums and a warm, rolling bassline that propels the groove forward. Shimmering, hypnotic effects weave throughout, creating a cosmic, immersive atmosphere as rhythmic percussion and shuffling hi-hats give the track momentum. Mesmerizing textures and evolving soundscapes draw us into a deep, entrancing flow.
