Press Release: Debasser Returns with new EP “Home” on WIDE Records

WIDE Records is pleased to announce Debasser’s second release of 2025, titled “Home.”

This three-track EP fuses UK Bass, techno, electro, dub, and a touch of downtempo post-club electronica.

The EP commences with “What Is The Time?”, a Debasser classic that showcases his signature wobbles, rumbles, bleeps, and beats, drawing inspiration from the Detroit and Chicago music scenes. The track is a nod to those times when you just don’t want the music to stop and simply want to keep on dancing.

The second track, “N47 To Canada Water,” is a dub electro glitchy affair that pays homage to Debasser’s early London clubbing days. It evokes the memory of waiting at the same bus stop in Shoreditch, patiently counting down the minutes until the bus would finally arrive and begin the slow journey home.

Finally, the EP concludes with the enigmatic “Ucklay,” a beautifully lush, down tempo, post-club track that invites the listener to just kick back, relax and float away.

Debasser has been crafting dance music since the early 2000s. His debut track was released on GTI Recordings in Detroit by Disco D. The track gained widespread recognition, leading to its release on NovaMute, followed by tracks on Seed, Balkan Vinyl, Input Output Inc., and his own WIDE Records. He was a member of Andrew Weatherall’s Haywire agency, playing their parties and numerous other clubs and festivals across the UK and Europe, as well as DJing on Radio 1.

With an eclectic sound and genre-defying approach, Debasser seamlessly blends jungle/drum and bass, techno, UKG, electro, house, and any other musical elements that capture his attention. His unique sound consistently revolves around parties and bass.

“Home” will be available on all major streaming platforms mid-August.
