
Maya Blandy embraces her portguese Heritage in her new and first Portuguese single "Calor".
Maya released 4 singles and the album "Stardust" in 2023/2024 and received plays on BBC Radio 6, Soho Radio and Radio Oxygenio FM (Portugal) Her first sinlge "Stardust" featured US legend Kathy Brown and has been on the "Future Funk" playlist on Apple Music for over a year.
This single is the first release from an E.P. which focuses on Maya's Portuguese heritage and her love of it's culture.
Following Maya's previous release "Stardust Bossa" being added to the New Music Friday Portugal playlist on Spotify, this single and the E.P. will be a perfect tonic for Summer 2024. The song explores the poetry of Portuguese music and the nostalgic nuances that define it's culture.
Maya has live shows throughout the summer in Portugal at some major festivals (Summer Opneing e Algazarra).
The single and E.P. were produced by Jake Wherry, founding member/producer/bassist of legendary Ninjatune act "The Herbaliser"
