We are delighted to welcome the return of Eddie Matos to the label. As one-half of the legendary New York duo Mateo & Matos, Eddie was one of the founding artists of Glasgow Underground. Alongside John Mateo, they released a string of much-loved singles and albums from 1997-2003. For us, their talents with keyboards and a sampler were unsurpassed in the late 90s, and it is so good to have Eddie back contributing to the house music lexicon. "Do That Thing" is a classic slice of New York house. Skippy hats and a killer off-beat snare combine on the groove while Rhodes and piano work their magic underneath a sultry vocal sample and some happy horns. Expect to see this warming the more imaginative floors the world over. Welcome back, Eddie Matos!
