Kevin McKay revisits his 2020 take on The Beatles' classic "Come Together," giving it new life in the sound of today's indie dance scene.
After playing sets packed with the driving, nostalgic energy of labels like Maccabi House and Diynamic, Kevin felt the time was right to bring this record back. His original mix blended rock and tech house — too much of both for 2020 — but now, with the return of mid-2000s electro-house textures and post-punk edge, it fits perfectly.
The key was the bassline: keeping the harmony of the original but locking it to a pumping, modern groove. Layered with power-chord-style synths, it lands somewhere between Environ-era disco and Get Physical peak-time tension.
It's big, bold, and built for DJs who like to take a risk. For the right crowd, this will blow the roof off.
