Kiara Records kicked of 2011 in the finest of fashions, with the launch of their new 'Various Artists Series'. As we have come to expect, the quality of the music is always high, and the first instalment impressed with its tracks from Feygin and Darlyn Vlys & Oscar Sala, backed by a remix from Marco Effe. As we enter into the summer season, Kiara return with Part 2 and things just got hotter....¶Our Kiara feast begins with a starter from Romania. Now residing in Nurenberg, Markus Homm has, over the past few years, steadily built a reputation for his slick grooves a funk laden house cuts released on labels such a Diynamic, Highgrade, All Inn and Ostwind. Fresh his recent debut on Kiara, the "Summit" Ep, Markus teams up with Philipp Gonzales and drops "Cubic Sounds". Yet more brilliantly funky tech-house, with a horn line that adds a slice of suspense. Keeping the Romania connection, we have Mihai Popoviciu on board to work that mysterious air and take the original on a deeper path. ¶Next up is one of Spain's brightest new talents, Leix. Already building a following from his work for Climatic Sound, Fumakilla and Monza, Leix releases his debut track for Kiara, "Chants." Laidback, rolling and with a weighty bass-push, "Chants" is made for those lazy summer beach parties. On the remix and adding some French muscle is, Okain. Keeping the vibe on a chilled tip, yet driving us through with his huge bassline, Okain's 'Steakhouse' remix is a pure, prime fillet of musical goodness. ¶Swiss artists Benja & Reto Ardour
