This release comes from Lubbock, TX up-and-coming artist and Simplistic resident Meems. This album brings out your 80s inner child, summoning memories of turning the FM radio dial back and forth to find your favorite jams or rolling up to the arcade to drop your allowance. The blips and bleeps invoke a feeling of nostalgia as you move through the tracks in the album, and Meems artfully dodges between those and primitive samples to create a unique listener experience. 'When I was young, I remember hearing synth-heavy tunes over the radio and thinking to myself just how futuristic and almost robotic they sounded. From the 808 and 303 sounds to the big gated reverb, the power ballad drums and the saturated vocal effects, I daydreamed about how it all came together. I decided to title the album HOME in reference to that feeling of pure nostalgia and good times from my childhood. It's a reminder of how excited I was even as a young child about the future of Music. It gives me a sense of home. Reminiscing and creating my own rendition and interpretation of the classic 'retro' sound has been very healing.' - Meems
