Originally released by House Afrika Records on Vinyl in 2004 and featured on The Afro Club Night compilation in 2006, Motherland’s “Sacred” features 3 tracks, Sacred Chant, Sacred, Horn & Sacred Drums. Produced by Petros Stathoussis (Static Plastic) & Tim White (House Afrika) under the pseudonym Motherland, these 3 tracks feature chants from the Venda tribe in South Africa as well as the Venda Sacred Horn and accompanied by some serious drumming and superb guitar work by Pois. This is a classic release that still has that punchy Afro House sound that should hold up nicely with today’s modern interpretations. Remastered and rereleased under Static Plastic’s imprint. Enjoy!
