Liam de Bruin is a recent addition to Melbourne's buzzing live jazz/house scene which has given us Close Counters, Horatio Luna, Teymori, 30/70, Harvey Sutherland and Zeitgeist Freedom Energy Exchange, many of them among Liam's early supporters. It took just two early tracks for the word to spread worldwide, with Liam gathering praise and plays from Art of Tones, Osunlade, Jimpster, Jazztronik, Red Rack'em, Bandcamp Weekly, Delfonic, KCRW, Trax Mag, NTS, Tru Thoughts, Apple Music and Gilles Peterson, who included Liam in his best of 2021 (so far) show on BBC 6Music.
New single 'Isolation' was written and recorded during Melbourne's extended lockdowns, with Liam playing live drums, percussion, bass and keys for a ride on the organic and jazzy side of deep house. Also included are the slinky late night groove 'Lavender' and the disco funk 'Friday Evening' which also features guitar by ... Liam de Bruin! All tracks are featured on the forthcoming 'Thinking By Dancing' release on vinyl and digital, with three additional tracks including a remix from Zeitgeist Freedom Energy Exchange.
