We welcome David Garcia aka Deephope back to Piston Recordings with the fantastic, Hideout EP. We last caught a glimpse of this guy’s talents on his remix of Hurt My Eyes by Mianyo featuring J. Burnside. David is a DJ, producer who has released his music around the world on various labels. He discovered his passion for electronic music at just 13 years old and has always been faithful to the deep house sound. As a DJ has toured several locations playing at events and clubs. He’s been on several radio stations including Ibiza Global Radio, Tunnel FM, Proton Radio and more. As a producer, he’s released his works on many labels, and this is where his experience comes through. He is currently the owner and label manager at Deep Clicks Music and it’s a pleasure to see him back at Piston.

Hideout opens the EP, setting out a solid, driving deep house path. Chunky beats and shuffling percussions set the rhythms loose as a warm, lush bassline meanders through the sound. Rich chords and exotic drums add depth and character which will translate beautifully on the floors. Return is up next, delivering a more vibrant groove thanks to rich musical elements and an expert construction. Layered synths create intricate, melodic sequences as a punchy kick drum and sharp percussion combo keep the feet moving. Check In concludes the EP and takes us straight to the dancefloor with a solid, driving deep house groove. Powerful chord stabs sit on a bed of infectious beats and crispy hats as a plucky bassline adds depth. Sweeping pads add energy to the groove as subtle vocal shots fill out the spectrum. Top-notch, straight up grooves for any set.
